A Word on Swing #1: “Lonestar”

February 1, 2012

Recently, fellow DC blogger Jerry “Wondering & Pondering” Almonte and I were at the same event with some free time and an idea: Could we make a simple video podcast? And, would doing so mean it would save us the long hours we spend writing our posts? The answers were, respectively, yes and no. (Even simple video editing is not so simple.)

Anyway, here it is: (Ta-da.) As the YouTube notes say, this is our first attempt and we can be awkward sometimes. But we hope you enjoy.

This video was done very well. Not only was the cinematography pleasing to watch (especially when it would transition with the black screen and music with something written), but it was nice to listen to all of your perspectives on the weekend along with dancing in general. I would definitely encourage to do more of these vlogs in the future.

Also, I am one of those people who decided to change my style after Lindy-Hop. Especially after doing more research of the styles in Frankie’s day.

Are you telling me there are more events with their own drinks?

I expect to see more videos shot at Dennys after the dance. :)
